According to analysis by CompTIA, the unemployment rate for IT occupations is 4.4 percent, well below the overall national unemployment rate of 10.2 percent as of July, based on the latest Employment Situation report from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. IT occupations declined by an estimated 134,000 jobs in July. However, overall, since the outbreak of the pandemic, net IT employment rose by more than 203,000 positions, Comp TIA says.
